Did you know that you are the daughter of a king? I know sometimes the pressures of societal cultures and expectations around you can cause you to feel insecure or inadequate, but you are God’s special treasure and He calls you royalty. There is nothing ordinary about you, as God has created you in His own image for a unique purpose. Woman of God, as a child of the Most High God, I encourage you to embrace your true identity in Christ, spend time in communion with your Father God, always stand up for righteousness and truth, and strive to radiate the beauty of Christ.
Embrace your True Identity in Christ
You are predestined for greatness. The images you see on television, in social media, or in the magazines you read may lead you to think that your identity lies in your accomplishments, material possessions, or external beauty, but this is far from the truth. Placing your identity in material things can result in great disappointments when they are gone, but when you discover who you are in Christ, you can live confidently in God’s lightas He fills your life with peace and joy and gives you calm assurance.
The scripture says that God’s love is unchangeable and unconditional. In John 3;16 the word of God says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (NKJV) God made the ultimate sacrifice by sending His only son to die, just to save you. Oh, what love! Daughter of God, you are chosen and uniquely fashioned in God’s likeness. … You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. 1 Peter 2:9, NKJV. Stand confidently in your God given identity; you are crowned with God’s love and mercy and that makes you extraordinary.
Spend time in Communion with God
As you walk as a daughter of the King, choose to spend some quality time in meditation and prayer with God. Your Father in heaven loves to communicate with His children, so I encourage you to read His Holy word and spend time in meditation and prayer. The flower turns to the sun each day so that the bright rays can perfect its beauty and as daughters of God, you too also need to turn to the Son of righteousness so that His character can be reflected in you. It is God’s desire for you to become fruitful and flourish. He says “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5 NKJV.
Prayer is the avenue through which we communicate with God. Through this medium, we can approach God in confidence as we talk to Him as a friend. My sister, God is a constant listener and He is always available to hear and talk to you. When you approach Him with a repentant heart and true sincerity, He will transform your life so that you can walk confidently in Him.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 NKJV. When you feast on God’s word on a daily basis, it increases your knowledge of God and strengthens your faith in Him. The word of God also empowers you and moulds your character in God’s likeness so that you can model His character.
Stand up for Righteousness and Truth
There is a great need for women who will stand firmly for righteousness and truth. Women like Esther, who will stand up for God, even in the face of opposition.(See Esther 5) Women, like Hannah who will remain fervent in prayer, even in the midst of criticism and discouragement.(See 1 Samuel 1:1,2) God is looking for women who will live courageously, women who will exemplify the true character of Christ and who will exercise their faith in Him.
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV. You are loved and valued by a God who truly cares about you and who will provide you with the strength and resilience you need to overcome any challenges or difficult encounters that you may face. Choose to stand up for what is right because when you stand up for God, He will stand up for you. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37 NKJV
Radiate the Beauty of Christ
Kings’ daughters are among Your honourable women;
At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir. Psalm 45:9 NKJV
Psalm 45 speaks of the glorious celebration of the faithful believers as they welcome the second return of Jesus Christ. This imagery is used distinctively in referring to women (the church) as His honourable believers. As a believer in Christ, you are specially selected to radiate God’s love and goodness.
As a daughter of the King, you are called to be a light bearer for Christ in this world of darkness. You are to reflect the character of a loving God so that others will get a true representation of Him. Sisters, regardless of where you are in your Christian journey, you can stand in the power of God as you seek to impact the lives of those around you.
So queens, it’s now time to adjust your crown, it’s your time to shine. You can break free from the shackles of your negative thoughts about yourself and societal labels and choose to walk in your new identity. God has your back and He will never leave His dear daughter to walk alone. Keep holding on to God’s promises as you choose to spend time in communion with Him. Be firm in your faith in God, as you grow and flourish as His beautiful beacon of light.
