Charting My Spiritual Odyssey
Patricia Li here, the heart and soul behind Adorned in Faith. My journey of faith began in the picturesque landscapes of Uganda, nurtured within a devout Catholic family. As fate had it, our family shifted to the UK when I was just nine. While I found myself attending church services in this new land, a deep spiritual connection eluded me. Yet, in the background, my praying grandmothers’ prayers created an aura of protection and guidance
Her influence on my life was profound. Her unyielding prayers acted like a beacon, drawing my sisters and me closer to the Kingdom of God. It was as if the stars aligned; I embraced salvation shortly before her ascent to the heavens. Her legacy of prayer wasn’t just an inheritance; it became my compass in the Christian walk.
My faith journey was a tapestry of surprises. 2014 marked a transformative year, beginning with my water baptism. But the crowning glory was an intimate encounter with the Holy Spirit. This spiritual rebirth metamorphosed my desires, aligning them with His.
Fast forward to October, and I found myself immersed in the electrifying ambiance of a Pentecostal assembly in South London. A stark contrast to the Catholic churches of South West London, this place pulsated with energy. It was here that the foundations of spiritual warfare, the power of fasting, and the sanctity of prayer were laid in my heart. The scriptures became my shield, and the Psalms, my spiritual chant.
2015 whisked me away to a prayer retreat in Lagos, Nigeria. Those five days were a spiritual marathon of worship, introspection, and discipline. My prayer life underwent a metamorphosis.
Israel, in 2016, was an answered prayer, a journey of discovery among Messianic believers. It was more than sightseeing; it was an immersion into prophecy, worship, and spiritual warfare, further deepening my connection with God.
As the pages of my life’s book unfolded, 2018 ushered in opportunities to lead prayers in West London and delve deeper into the leadership realm, fostering a community of believers and honing my spiritual discernment.
March 2019 was a revelation. The words of Jeremiah 1:5 echoed my purpose, further affirmed by a prophetic phone call. That revelation was clear as day: I was destined to touch lives.
2023 marked the birth of Adorned in Faith, my ministry. Rooted in my rich tapestry of spiritual experiences, my vision was clear: kindle the flames of faith, empower believers, and forge a community burning with passion for God.
Beyond the spiritual realm, my incredible church family grounds me.
